Software Development in Nepal

Software for Nepali businesses, built for local conditions.

Nepal is close in time and culture but has genuinely different technical constraints, and ignoring them is how projects fail here. Connectivity outside Kathmandu and Pokhara cannot be assumed, so offline-capable software is a requirement rather than a refinement. Local payment means eSewa and Khalti long before it means a card gateway, and Nepali VAT and billing formats differ from Indian GST, so systems built for India need real adaptation. We build for trading and distribution businesses, retail, hospitality and education providers.

What working with us from Nepal looks like

  • Only fifteen minutes' time difference from IST -- effectively the same working day
  • Offline-capable billing and field apps for areas with unreliable connectivity
  • eSewa and Khalti integration alongside card and bank transfer
  • Nepali VAT and PAN invoicing formats, not Indian GST assumptions
  • Nepali-language interfaces and Bikram Sambat date handling where needed

The practical details

The questions that actually come up when the team is in one country and the client is in another.

Timezone

Nepal is 15 minutes ahead of IST, so there is no scheduling friction at all.

Connectivity

Billing and field software is built offline-first and syncs when a connection returns, which outside the main cities is essential rather than optional.

Billing and tax

Invoiced in USD or NPR. Systems produce Nepali VAT-compliant invoices with PAN handling, and support Bikram Sambat dates where your records use them.

Working with us from Nepal

Can it work where the internet is unreliable?

That is designed in rather than added later. Billing and field apps keep working against local storage and sync when connectivity returns, so a counter in a smaller town is not stopped by an outage.

Do you support eSewa and Khalti?

Yes, alongside cards and bank transfer. For Nepali customers these wallets usually carry more volume than card payments, so they belong in the first release rather than a later phase.

Will Indian GST software work for us?

Not reliably, and this catches people out. Nepali VAT, invoice formats, PAN handling and Bikram Sambat dates differ from Indian GST. We adapt properly rather than relabelling an Indian system, because the differences surface at exactly the wrong moment -- your first filing.
