POS & Billing Software

Billing that is fast at the counter and correct in the books.

A billing counter has requirements most software ignores: it has to be fast under a queue, usable by staff who were trained in ten minutes, GST-correct, and it cannot stop working because the internet did. We build POS and billing systems for retail counters, restaurants, pharmacies, service centres and wholesale desks -- barcode scanning, thermal printing, offline billing with sync, stock deduction on sale, and reporting that tells the owner what sold and what the margin was. Including replacements for the Excel billing sheet many businesses are still running on.

What's included

  • Keyboard-first billing designed for speed with a queue waiting
  • Barcode scanning, thermal and A4 printing, cash drawer support
  • Offline billing that keeps working and syncs when the connection returns
  • GST-compliant invoices, HSN codes, e-invoice and e-way bill support
  • Stock deducted on sale, with low-stock and reorder alerts
  • Daily closing, shift-wise cash reconciliation and margin reporting

What you get

  • POS running on your counter hardware
  • Printer, scanner and cash drawer configured and tested
  • Product and price list imported from your existing records
  • GST-compliant invoice formats approved by your accountant
  • Owner reporting: sales, margin, stock and cash position
  • Counter staff training, which takes under an hour by design

How we deliver it

The same sequence on every engagement, so you always know what happens next and what is expected of you.

  1. 01

    Understand the requirement

We start with how your business actually works today -- the people, the steps, the spreadsheets and the workarounds -- before anyone talks about technology. Most failed projects are scoped before this conversation happens.

  2. 02

    Agree the scope in writing

You get a written scope: what is being built, what it will and will not do, the sequence, and what we need from you and when. No surprises later about what was included.

  3. 03

    Design before building

We design the billing screen around keystrokes rather than mouse clicks and watch your staff use a prototype. Counter software is judged on seconds per bill.

  4. 04

    Build in visible increments

Work ships in milestones you can open and use, not one reveal at the end. You correct direction while correcting is still cheap.

  5. 05

    Test against the real thing

Tested with your data, your edge cases and the people who will actually use it, on a staging environment that matches production.

  6. 06

    Deploy and hand over properly

We deploy it, document it, train your team, and stay available afterwards. You own the code and the infrastructure either way.

Frequently asked questions

Does billing stop if the internet goes down?

No. The counter keeps billing against a local database and syncs when the connection returns. Any POS that needs constant connectivity will eventually cost you a trading hour, which is why we build offline-first by default.

Can it replace our Excel billing sheet?

Yes, and we import the sheet rather than asking you to retype it -- products, rates and customer balances come across. Excel billing usually breaks down on stock accuracy, GST formatting and the fact that only one person can bill at a time.

Will it work with our existing printer and scanner?

Nearly always -- standard thermal printers and USB scanners are supported, and we test with your actual hardware before go-live rather than assuming. Send us the models and we will confirm.

Can our accountant still use Tally?

Yes. We export in a format Tally imports, or integrate directly, so the counter gets software built for billing and your accountant keeps the tool they know. Nobody has to change how they work.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Yes, and most of our work is remote. We work with clients in India, the UK, the US, Canada, Singapore, the UAE, the Netherlands and Nepal, and across India from Delhi NCR and Maharashtra to Gujarat, West Bengal and the southern tech hubs. We overlap working hours with your timezone for calls and keep everything else written, so progress does not depend on both sides being awake at once.

Are you limited to particular technologies?

No. We choose the stack to fit the problem, the people who will maintain it and what you already run, rather than fitting every project to one framework. If your team already works in a stack, we will usually build in it so you are not left with something nobody in-house can support.

Who owns the code and the data?

You do, completely. Source code, database and infrastructure accounts are yours, handed over with documentation. We do not hold your system hostage, and you are free to take it to another team.

How do projects usually start?

With a conversation, not a quote. We want to understand the problem before pricing a solution -- send a short overview through the contact form or book a call, and we will come back with what we think the real scope is, including where we think you need less than you asked for.
